We are a very kind brasilian couple (Mariana e Igor)! We believe that another world is possible by means of solidarity. We love cats and dogs and we appreciate plants, books, music, healthy food and good conversation! We hate prejudice, injustice and gossip. We don't smoke and not use drugs.
We leave in a brasilian island, so, we enjoy the beaches, nature, and above all, meeting people and sharing this life around the world!

Igor loves aviation (he´s a pilot in Brazil), sciences, politics, good beer!
Mariana loves people, as a good sociologist, enjoy discuss about life and its organization, culture and different forms of resistance! By the way, for Mariana, couchsurfing is a form of resistance, because it opens a new way to meet people and places, fact that enlarges us as human beings!

Music, Movies, and Books

We love classic rock, brasilian music, brasilian and european movies.
Mariana studies books about capitalism and education in Brazil (Karl Marx, Pierre Boudieu, Emile Durkheim, Marx Weber, etc....). Igor studies books about aviation and economy.
We don't agree with all our opinions, but these differences magnify ourselves! Diversity is welcome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We rescued two cats on the street and take care of them very well! In Brazil, there are lots of maltreated and homeless animals. We help various groups that work for these animals. We think that's a amazing thing we've done!
We're hardworking, so, we traveled a little bit, and now it's our time to do this wonderful first trip to Europe! We are very happy and we want to share this amazing moment of our lives with people who can tell about their experiences, travels, hopes and

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach and share how to cook brasilian foods, like feijoada e tapioca (delicious!), and drinks, for example: caipirinha! We can talk about things about Brazil, its diversity, problems with high inequality, talking about different professional experiences we've ever had, brasilian music, also... our conversation can go far beyond samba and carnival, because Brazil is much more than that!
We want to learn how people live in different realities of ours, understand how they see the world, their preferences, intolerances, what make them laugh and cry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life experience, interesting stories, news from around the world! We can share good times doing a walk, and! Yes! We can teach how to dance samba and make a good brazilian barbecue, if you want!
