ABOUT ME

I'm from a small town in Upstate New York- I was born and raised on a family apple farm! However, I'm taking my first stab at living in a city in Fall 2011 by enrolling in Edinburgh Napier University's MA Journalism program.

I'm so excited to live in a multicultural city and hope to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds, as well as taking a few trips for myself!

Despite my "sheltered" background, I'm energetic and open minded. I love learning about other travellers and consider myself friendly and easy-going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I currently live with my parents, I cannot offer a couch right now. I'm happy to meet anyone in Upstate New York for coffee, although I haven't heard of people backpacking to Rochester, haha.

When I move to Edinburgh, I will definitely be eager to meet travelers for coffee or a drink. As of now I cannot be sure whether I'll have a couch available- I need to find a flat and clear it with my flatmates first!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never officially couchsurfed, but I had a few great experiences staying with friends in Scotland and England on previous trips. In an age where people can be so distrustful of one another it always makes me happy to meet friendly and hospitable people on the road, and I've made some lifelong friends travelling.
