I absolutely love to travel and realised a few months ago that I am at my happiest when I am exploring a new country. So am looking to do more of that before I potentially settle down and become a proper grown-up with a house and kids etc.
I am from Finland originally, but spent most of my childhood in Taiwan. I have now lived in England for 10 years studying and working. I love my job and helping people is important to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said I love to travel, but unfortunately have realised what an expensive hobby this is! So this seems like a good way to not only get cheap accommodation, but to meet people who live locally. I usually travel alone, so it would be nice to meet people in the places I travel who could potentially show me around and give me some tips :)

I am also more than happy to show people around Manchester as well, as there is a lot to see and do here.

Interests

Socialising, good wine, good food, eating out, hiking, running, reading, meeting new people. I am also hoping to write a book someday to bring out my creative side, which has been smothered over recent years due to various other things going on in life.

I also love to laugh and I try not to take life too seriously!

I like a variety of books and films...I have a kindle and am currently reading a book called "The Two Caravans." I quite like books by Cecilia Ahern and Jodi Piccoult.

I have netflix and am currently watching the new season of Orange is the New Black.

I can teach you Finnish, which is an extremely useful language to learn....;)

I can also teach you how to manage stress, anxiety and low mood as I do this in my job everyday! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help out with cooking and cleaning. I am also a lover of animals so can help look after any pets! :) And of course can always accompany you to the local pub for a drink.
