Overview
About Me
I try to be useful and helpful to people, because I can only expect people to treat me the way I treat them. I really like a relaxed day with a coffee in the morning. Some fuzzy brain piano playing. A walk in a park with a book. Maybe sketch some people, plants, random objects. I like socialising and would love to see some bars and have a dring in the evening. See the sun go down somewhere. Maybe paint some of it afterwards.
To confuse a bit - I don't always have to talk too. I really enjoy sharing time, space and the moment, not every thought that pops up in our heads.
I try to reduce stress. I worked a lot in my 20ies, even established a school for art und music. Turned out, there is a lot of time still ;)
That's why I started doing more art now and I am an art and piano teacher in my school. My focus when teaching is that my students are expressing themselves, but also push themselves to the next level.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music, art and books that are a bit difficult to read. Books I enjoyed a lot were poems from Handke (Austrian writer) lately and films from Hou Hsiao-Hsien (Taiwanese director). I love Van Gogh for his honesty and like studying his paintings. I also love galleries and museums in general.
I am preparing for my PhD in Japanese studies (Topic: Ways of seeing). I just love science books. So crunchy and empathetic at the time...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
PARIS: I arrived knowing nothing at the beginning of my exchange year in Paris. No flat, no hostel. Got picked up by a CS and I'm very glad for it. Thanks, Guillaume!
JAPAN: The first night of my Tokyo exchange year I started with couch surfing. Thanks, Shoko!
Teach, Learn, Share
As I said, I am a piano and art teacher. Feel free to contact me for any advice. I'd love to meet people for language exchange French/Japanese/English/Spanish/Chinese. I want to know more about other cultures. And what makes us human. And let's talk about art! I belive it is very important to talk about stuff that is not only your job or your family.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Things we can do together, exempli gratia: I love to cook, eat, drink and talk with people. Let's cook Austrian food together, habe a coffee or drink in a Café or Bar, do some language exchange. BBQ. Let's go for a swim, a hike, for a walk. Painting and drawing together would be great too - I can show you some tricks. I search for a good time with people and experiencing the neighbourhood or travel together.
