So I am a 22 years old engineering student from Croatia(no, not Dubrovnik :D ). For as long as I can remember I've alwayes played it safe, never pushed myself or challenged myself in any way. Until two years ago when I decided it's time for a change. For some time til then I dreamed about traveling and exploring, I had a desire to do that but was never actually brave enoguh to go with it.
Then over night everything changed when I decieded it's time to finally go out of my confort zone. I started volunteering in a student organization called Erasmus Student Network so I hang out with the guys and girls who come to study abroad in Croatia. With them and couple of other people I met during my time as a volunteer I took my first steps as a traveller. We had some short trips to the neighbouring countries but most of all we had so much fun.

Like I said, that was two years ago and since then I never looked back and completely forgot about my old self. I continued to push myself and try not to stay in one place. Obviously, there is a constant challenge, balancing studies with your desire to travel, but hey, at least it makes life a bit more interesting. :D

That mindset brought me to Germany, where I'm doing my semester abroad and enjoying every second of it. I still have a couple of weeks till the end but I'm already missing it, missing the excitement and sense of adventure. With that said, I've started to make plans for my future travels and adventures.
I just hope I'll get a chance to meet some of you on some of those adventures. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I look at this as a new traveling level to which I'm evolving. I started like everyone else, googling attractions, popular restaurants and bars then going there. Basically beeing your average tourist. Now I wanna take my traveling game to the next level and experience thing from different perspective. Getting to know someone local who will, in ideal case, show me or recommend me some things or places that usually don't catch the eyes of tourists. Even bigger award, expand my horizonts and meet someone new everywhere, to hear their story and maybe tell them mine. To be smarter, wiser and richer in friends after every next trip. In short, thats what I'm looking for here.

Interests

Well, to be honest in life, I can be compared to a child in a sweetshop. I literally wanna try everything and everything interests me. Thats probably the reason why I had so many hobbies during my life. For examle I really like wine, art and architecture. Oh, and I especially enjoy music,
But those that I wrote down here are the ones that stuck around and each of them has now grown into a passion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, where to begin. I could talk about this for hours. My taste in musc is really wide spectre of genres. I'm very open minded when it comes to music. Depending on my mood, my taste can vary. And when I say vary, I mean it can be rock in the morning, classical during lunch and I can finish the day with some smooth jazz. I mean come on, how can one decide once and for all, does he prefer Queen's "Bohemian rhapsody" or "Blue in Green" by Miles Davis. Don't even get me started on rock ballads. Ohh, like I said, I could go on for quite some time. I'm more then happy to discuss about it over a glass of wine or some beer. :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Well if you want, I can teach you Croatian :) Or talk about the basics of photograpy.

Oh, I almost forgot, I can also teach, and this one's a far fetch, some basics of electrical engineering, some general laws and stuff like that. :D
