CURRENT MISSION

I'm a PhD candidate in Colective Health. Until february 2014, I'll be living in Lisbon in order to conduct part of my research.

ABOUT ME

It's pretty hard for me to describe myself... I'm a Gemini, so I keep changing some opinions quite often, other opinions never. I can be communicative but also shy when I enter a new space for the first time. I'm a religious person (Candomblé, an afro-brazilian religion). I hope the other topics of my profile may help to give a picture of myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Actually, I signed up here following the suggestion of a Brazilian friend who has been living in Europe for some months and had nice experiences couchsurfing. Since a share an apartment with other people, I cannot offer a couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm Kind of a nerd... so all "Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars", "Matrix", and some of Comics movies versions, although I definitely didn't like what they did with the Phoenix in X-Men.
Books...: Oh, I'm a PhD student, so recently I've been only reading specific books on sexual and gender rights, transsexuality, political psychology and politics of recognition...
Music: I'm mainly listen to Brazilian Music at home, and enjoy some house music for parting... I also love most of latin american music and since I'm gay, I love Madonna lol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

oh... asking a Gemini to choose is kind of hard. I´ve seen a lot of amazing beautiful places in Brazil and Latin America (waterfalls, beaches, the Caribbean Sea). But, recently, the "Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona really impressed me.

Besides all I've been researching on the field of gender and sexuality politics... I guess I have also now some things about esoteric and non mainstream religious believes. Oh, and I know how to samba, lol.
