HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing. I care about intentional community building.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I often stay at friends or friends of friends couches when I travel. I like to travel lightly to facilitate my mobility. I much rather stay with people who like hosting and are passionate about community building because I am very relational. I like to engage in conversations, learn about the city or country, arts and culture, politics, current events, etc. This makes the experience worthwhile because you don't really get that when you stay at a hotel isolated from the true social world and life of the city or town.

The most amazing thing I've done is watching the sunset in Rio de Janeiro at Arpoador beach. It is one of the world's most beautiful sunsets!

I can teach and share on: Environmental Justice movement in the U.S.; Climate justice at an international level; United Nations Climate Negotiations; Sociology (migration/immigration; race/ethnicity, environment). I can also teach violin and how to make french macarons.

I'd love to learn cooking recipes! Arts and crafts. Dance.
