Hi, my name is Marissa and I am very excited to start my semester abroad at the Gold Coast! I'm 26 years old, grew up in a village near Stuttgart (Germany) and have studied Sociology and Media Science in one of the most idyllic University Cities in Germany: Tübingen.

I am easy going and fun-loving and my joyful mission for the next couple of months is exploring the Gold Coast and Australia, starting new friendships (maybe just for a day or maybe for a lifetime), experiencing adventures during roadtrips and hikings and long nights out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have no Couchsurfing Experience, yet. But I like the idea that you don't have to stay isolated in your hotel room just doing the well-known tourist stuff. Instead you get to know new people, who might show you their favourite places in town.

I think it is a wonderful opportunity to get pulled into the local life.

Interests

There are many things that I don't want to miss:

I enjoy sports and art, going to concerts, historical sights and museums, hiking, partying, cooking and swimming - I am kind of an allrounder ... just trying everything out what is new and exciting to me.

I'd like to meet new people, hear their stories and just have a good and relaxed time.

I love to take long or short and spontaneous trips.
