ABOUT ME

I live on an island in Baltic sea. During winter the population is abut 550. On summer we have lots of tourists.
You can get here by bus or a car. From Turku ( 100 km ) it takes about 3 hours, because there are three ferries between islands. This is a very peaceful little village. My home is just close to the sea.
I am divorced. I have been living alone for twenty Years. I have three grown up sons, and five grand children. I have had many occupations. I have travelled quite a lot during my whole life.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is: To live and let the others live too.

" A boat is safe at a harbour, but it was not build for it."
I am curious for many new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I belong to Greec-Finnish society. I have founded a club. We learned to make greec food, learned greec folk dances, and studied the language.
I call myself a volunteer social hermit. I enjoy living by myself, but I also adjust the new situations quite easily.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not really experience for it stil now. But I have hosted some people through other routes.
I have hosted two girls from Russia, and a young nice couple from Russia. Very nice and friendly people. We really became friends.
Also a finnish couple for one night.

Interests

Travelling, people from other countries,postcrossing photographing,writing,reading,painting with oil, home decorating, designing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Irish, and english films.
Music: Greec music, 50-60´s music, and almost everything which is not too noisy.
Books: Stories about own life, novels, travel books, and many other books without any description.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have crossed Atlantic Ocean with a sailing boat with 13 other people at the age of 53.
I have lived in Irak when the war between Irak and Iran begun.
I have been travelling by bus round Greece, and Turkey, at the age 50. I have been cruising in Greec archipelago from an island to another at the age of 70.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could maybe learn good manners for children and Young people, to take into consideration other people.
I could maybe learn some more flexible in many things.
I could share love and understanding difference.
