ABOUT ME

I am a veteran vegetarian and environmentalist.  I love all creatures big and small, and a believer in sustainable living.  I have lived and worked overseas in many countries, with the United Nations and other NGOs.I speak several languages fluently, and love to travel and learn about new cultures.  That's the "Star Trek" gene in me:  "To boldly go where no one has gone before."

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to?  I love classical music, classic jazz, ethnic music (Hawaiian, Indian, Japanese).I prefer movies with a social message.  I enjoy good poetry and prose (fiction and non-fiction).

Share a story of something that really struck you.  Yesterday, I saw the birth of a monarch butterfuly in my friend's garden.  It was a miracle of nature I was lucky to see.
