Mark: I'm a high school math teacher and long time resident of the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I try not to take too much serious in life, but know when to work and get things done. I'm much more of a listener and love to hear what people have to say and the stories they share. While I may be seen as quiet at first, that quickly changes once I know someone's personality.

Kristi: I am also a long time suburban Detroit native. I have a very optimistic personality and am currently a baker and a nanny. I absolutely love the idea of traveling and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are usually the touristy places to go to but we have found that working with and being around natives of an area truly gives you a better idea of what it's like to be in an area. Plus it's a lot more fun to meet new people and make new friends!
