About Me

I am a born-again Christian. I just need a little help the next couple weeks.
I was evicted from my apartment last August as a result of my ex-(temporary) roommate's bad behavior. I moved my belongings into a North Dallas (Galleria-area) storage unit, which I had been living in, but no longer am permitted to. I am living out of a new unit (in the same area), but corporate policies prevent me from living in it.

I have had many expenses and costs to get my life back on track, but get paid very little (as a Galleria security officer) to get into a new apartment just yet. After having trouble getting accepted into a Galleria-area apartment last year, I saw that as God's blessing and provision to save towards visiting the wonderful love of my life in Colombia (Monica, pictured above) for Christmas and New Year's. So, that is what I did; it confirmed our long-distance relationship.

To better provide for our family's immigration and life together here, I am ready to begin a new career journey as a transportation hospitality driver with Uber- focusing on primarily transporting business travelers to & from DFW airport. When I returned from Colombia in mid-January, I had to pay much to get my driver's license re-instated from a distant past (2007) DWI. God made the way for that. Now, I am working towards paying the lease deposit on a lease vehicle through Uber's lease program. I plan to do so with my next paycheck- Friday, April 14.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately, with my small salary as a security officer, I cannot afford to pay any of these other costs to get my life back on track until after I begin driving (hard) with Uber. So, unfortunately, the new apartment has to be the last thing I do monetarily.

Recently, a good friend from church graciously (unsolicited) paid for me to stay here in a Park Central studio suite this past week (after learning of my new situation outside the storage unit); but I have to be out this morning.

In the meantime, I suppose I'll be 'suburban camping' in my chair in front of the Prestonwood Walmart (Montfort @ Beltline) overnights after work. Thankfully, the weather is favorable now. An elementary school classmate from Carrollton is the overnight security officer for that property. While this would be okay, it is certainly not ideal. A carpet to lay on overnight the next two weeks will be appreciated :)

With that being said, I just need a safe, warm place to lay my head at night (10:00PM-6:00AM) the next two weeks in the 75254 or 75240 North Dallas ZIP codes (close to the Galleria, where I will be working the next three weeks) until I can pay for my new lease car, April 14. Uber driving will be God's provision for financial blessings to get into a new apartment, I have seen.

I have a Planet Fitness membership for my showers and grooming, so I do not need your bathroom except perhaps to 'flush my bladder' and brush my teeth before bedtime. I have my own furnishings and supplies, so I do not need yours. I am a no-drama, full-functioning adult just in between apartments right now for a short while longer. I do not wish to be any inconvenience to you at all. I just need a carpet to sleep on for two weeks. I can also be a great friend to you as well
(or just a silent carpet-crasher, whichever you prefer).

Thank you for your consideration :)
God bless :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visit the woman and children I love dearly in Tunja, Colombia last Christmas season :) <3

What I Can Share with Hosts

RESPECT. Good company and conversation or solitude, whichever you prefer. I can buy some groceries to cook, if desired. My expenses are a bit much these days and my pay is little; so my means to provide are little. I can get groceries, though :)
