I would prefer to live in a society committed to meeting needs unconditionally. In the meantime I do what I can as an individual & in groups. I have a sentimental attachment to washing dishes. I consider myself an ally, a feminist, anti-racist.

PHILOSOPHY

We are all capable of creativity and loving coexistence. Words are important. I don't take for granted that I understand anyone's self description before or even after I hear it.

I like to host touring performers, activists, teachers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted in a cabin in the mountains by L'Aquila in June by artists who were survivors of the April 09 earthquake after a birthday party with hearth baked potatoes and smoldering indignation about highhanded govt treatment

Commuting daily from a friend's couch in Bellevue to street protests against the WTO in Seattle 1999

A week in a village of 1000 in Chiapas in 2003

Sleeping in the (freezing!) Puppet Church while visiting Northland College by Lake Superior
