About Me

I'm a high school teacher and I'm pretty easy going. With my time off on the holidays and especially summer break, I enjoy traveling. I've only traveled around the United States except for one time when I was very young we went to Toronto, Canada. I'm looking forward to taking my first trip to Europe this summer, which is what has really brought me to Couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy traveling and this seems like a great way to meet new travelers.

I enjoy running, hiking, kickboxing, going to music festivals, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music teacher so I pretty much like all kinds of music, such as, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acoustic, and Classical. I like comedy movies...really anything that makes me laugh. I also love documentaries. I can binge on Netflix watching those. I also enjoy reading books about how the human mind works. Being a teacher, I like learning new things about how people think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a spontaneous trip driving across the United States. I'm a teacher, so I came to work on the last day before summer break with my car packed and as soon as I was free to leave for summer break I headed for the highway. I left from Atlanta and went to Oklahoma City and got on Route 66 for a while. I then went through North Texas, stopped in Albuquerque, NM; Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Diego, back to Las Vegas and then back to Atlanta. I really enjoyed the freedom of stopping when I wanted to stop and see new parts of the country that I haven't been before.
