About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to fly more things. Meet nice people on the way.

ABOUT ME

I've seen a bit of the world, but there's always more. Every place has a unique culture and I love discovering that!
I really connect while wandering/photographing at night. I love the way a city feels when everyone else is asleep.

PHILOSOPHY

Most people are good. There's some assholes, but I've found them to be dispersed pretty evenly across the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met and stayed with some incredible people all over the place. Some day i'll be stationary long enough to host. I promise!

Interests

Photography, Motorcycles, Flying things, Yoga, and Cooking. I'm not very good at any of them but always trying to get better. Or at least not die doing them.

Music, Movies, and Books

The best book in the world is "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and you should read it. Also, Cormac McCarthy, Chuck Palahniuk, Mario Vargas Llosa, Bill Bryson. I have a long list of Spanish books that I can't wait to read but i'm quite pitifully slow at the moment. I can proficiently read Children's Spanish books about turtles though!

For movies I like just about anything, but definitely Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Tim Burton, Almodóvar.

Food and music are how to connect with any country or culture if you can't visit, or how to re-visit them long after you've left. Checking out the local music scene to develop a soundtrack for each place is something I am trying to do more in my travels.
I use spotify and like a huge variety of music, but if I had to boil it down: Sigur Rós, Gogol Bordello, The Killers, Zoe Keating, Natalia Lafourcade, Krishna Das, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Tom Waits, something something something...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate a 4.5 lb burrito and won a T-shirt and high blood pressure

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make really good margaritas. Probably the 4th best in the world. Huevos Rancheros for breakfast changes my outlook for that day.
I'm an EMT, so if anyone get's hurt I can try to keep them alive long enough to get to a hospital!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The secret to growing a fantastic beard. How to then shave this beard with honor.
j/k no honor in shaving
