À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To figure out what that mission is!

ABOUT ME

Philosophy Student. Vegetarian who's trying day-by-day to ease into veganism (damn you cheese and other delicious foods of evil...). Having said that, I'm not preachy about it to non-vegetarians because it's a personal choice. I'm sort of a feminist but not really because I believe more in tearing down the idea that gender is so meaningful. We're individuals, not genders. I'm quiet and a bit introverted, but I warm up! I'm sporadic. Sometimes I'm flowing with energy and other times I'm all in my head. And most importantly like most Couch-Surfers (I expect!) I'm for open-ness and believing in new people. Oh and randomness is always as fun as turning a starfish into a balloon =)

PHILOSOPHY

Be interested in others but don't try to create them. The person you are most responsible for making the best they can be is you alone. So always be connected with yourself internally and try to guide that self.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, although I'd really really love to host, I don't own my own house and rent my student accomodation through the university so guests are a no-no really =( I can only offer meet-ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had none whatsoever yet. Let's hope that changes soon!

Centres d'intérêt

I'm a sort of part-nerd. I'm interested in computer gaming, board-gaming and general computer-related stuff but I don't know a great deal about them... I'm interested in Philosophy obviously! I'm also a regular reader of books, manga and comics. Interested in feminist ideas and abstract ideas about people in general. Have an interest in writing too, but I've never actually finished anything...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Films - Rain Man, Slacker, Waking Life, Rosencrantz and Guildenstead are Dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh and there are many many more...

Music - Ranges from stuff like Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Callisto to the other end of Tangerine Dream and Carbon-Based Lifeforms. I don't know what gets me about some music, it just feels like it reaches me, however it does that.

Books - I, Lucifer and Hope by Glen Duncan were both amazing. Ilium and Olympos by Dan Simmons. I can never remember what I've read when these questions come up...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I can't remember anything exciting... =/

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Feh, I don't know that much. I can maybe teach a bit of guitar and talk about philosophy/psychology/science. Know a little bit about computers, though I use Linux more than Windows... Dunno. Ask and see! More importantly I would love to learn from you! =) I would love to learn more from successful vegans on how they manage an interesting and varied diet that also manages to be healthy and cheap (student alert!) I'd also love to talk with people who know more about feminism and questions of gender and sexuality than I do. I'm very curious about those topics.
