Hi I'm Marla, I'm originally from Germany but I study in Maastricht, in the Netherlands. I enjoy being around people, having conversations and experiencing different places and cultures. I care a lot about other people, the wellbeing of our society and the environment. Therefore, I always enjoy to talk about politics, economics, psychology, climate protection, happiness and how to live fulfilled lifes. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy the contact to different people and think the experience of travelling and staying with locals is very different to just staying in a place exclusively for tourists. I value to learn from others and to get to know different opinions and perspectives on life.

Interests

I am very ambitious to have a positive impact in the world. I like to start by myself by eating, traveling and living concious of other beings, humans, future generations and myself. I am very interesting in a minimalistic lifestyle, in sustainable delicious food and in doing sports. Beside that I love to think about the big picture and possible scenarios to create happy people and a sustainable future. I love to develop political and economical ideas and to exchange those, as I see both topics as essential to change the world into a more positive one.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loooove reading, and I'm interested in everything ranging from Sociology, to Genetics to Philosophy. If you have any suggestions let me know! I also love music but my taste is really hard to specifiy, however I was recently at an Arctic Monkeys concert so that's definetly one of my favourits. For movies it's nearly the same, I liked many different ones, but some of the last were Inception, the Battle in Seatle and Blue is the warmest color.
