I am a woman of many parts and evolving interests - cultured, artistic, well traveled (lived, worked, studied in a number of countries). Equally at home in a mud hut or dressed for the opera. Just retired from a rewarding, international, U. S. government job. I continue to be a Teaching Artist of Spanish Dance for Arts for the Aging. - see website.
I look for harmony and purpose in life. This includes being of service to community, intellectually growing, and finding my inner creativity. I am at an age where "gratitude" is in my vocabulary. I try to find something, however small, to make each day worth living. Whether it is an encounter with someone or just sitting on my porch and listening to the birds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hmm. Not sure what this means. Will have to come back to this
None yet, although I have stayed with host families in a number of countries (Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, etc) through other programs
Energized by meeting people of different cultures and of all ages. I am very interested in history and arts. Drawn to architecture, dance, puppetry, theater, sites with Roman mosaics, prehistoric art, museums. Interested in cooking and learning new recipes. I'm a vegetarian who will sit across from a carnivore without giving a sermon. Up for most anything that doesn't harm people, animals or the environment.
