Join Couchsurfing to see Leni ’s full profile. It’s free!
Having enjoyed the hospitality of numerous hosts during our once-in-a-lifetime trip through North America, we now want to get to know the other side of couchsurfing and focus on hosting. We love to travel but do not hold plans to make a long trip in the near future, so travelers: please come to us! :)
As for us, we are two pretty much different characters. Leni is more talkative, lively, funny, youthful, bustling. Michael is more calm, thoughtful, considerate, philosophical, lazy, boring, grumpy but he sometimes likes to do the dishes ;-)
We both are open to and embrace variety and diversity. Michael likes old things and cultivates some utopian views on society. Leni tries to live with what's given, which does not mean she would not complain about injustices.
We are both vegetarian.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment we mainly want to provide people visiting Dresden with a place to stay. We have enjoyed the privilege of getting to know many friendly people in Canada and the US who have hosted us or showed us nice places - now we want to do the same and help others out, and let ourselves be carried away with your travel stories.
However, once in a while we might get on the road for a couple of days, too, and look for people with open hearts and homes.
Of hosting experiences we have only a few. However, we have used couchsurfing whilst our North American adventure, and have been hosted by numerous people, who made this trip one to be remembered during our whole lives. When we traveled through Canada and the United States for 3 months, we were invited by the loveliest people you can imagine. Now that we are back to normal, we can only hope we can live up to what they gave us. However, we usually decline 'copy+paste requests', for we get a lot of couch requests and we think that Couchsurfing only makes sense if you take some time to let yourself in on another. So requests that show that someone has taken the time to read our profile and has made themselves acquainted with who we are have a fair chance of being accepted. (We hope that does not sound arrogant - we are really willing to host, but we have expercienced that couchsurfing works better if you have an idea of who shares their home with you in advance).

Rock climbing in Sedona, climbing into Grand Canyon, brewing beer in Indianapolis, hiking through Muir Woods near San Francisco, enjoying a private concert by "Brothers Dubé" (a teenage rock band from Ottawa - check them out here: http://www.brothersdube.com/ )
Teach, Learn, Share
Leni is in Medical Studies, so she can tell you a thing or two about your body. Michael has written his bachelor's thesis on the rise of the Punk scene in NYC, and studies other music/art scenes (currently working on a Master's thesis on The Velvet Underground).
We are hunting for recipes.
