About Me

CURRENT MISSION

rock the casbah

ABOUT ME

Most of all I like diversity, British humour, good wine and irony. I've been a vegetarian for about ten years. Bike riding forever! I enjoy conducting life-story interviews or otherwise listen to people talk about whatever they find worthy of sharing.

PHILOSOPHY

"How I learned to stop worrying and love chaos."

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to meet up for a coffee, walk, drink, bike ride.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experiences so far have been positive, interesting and entertaining, and I've learned a great deal about people and myself.

Interests

People and human behavior, books, volunteering, food and cooking, traveling, ecology and environmental protection, farmers' markets, visiting new places, trying out new things and ending up in odd settings, international politics, yoga......

Music, Movies & Books

Music: I'm listening to a lot of Air, jazz manouche, classical music and Gil Scott-Heron these days. But it's mood-dependent. Most recently I saw a Danish film, Adam's Apples, which I liked, and a documentary, Cooking History, about military chefs. Fellini is a constant. I like The Office (UK version!), Yes Minister, Wonderland.... Most recent great books: My Oedipus Complex by Frank O'Connor, Washington Square by Henry James and a Hungarian collection of short stories, The Golden Gate by Vicram Seth and The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer (just reading it).

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Everyday miracles constantly leave me awestruck.
