Overview
About Me
I'm just a guy on a boat in San Diego. I have a degree in mechanical engineering, an MBA, and am a freelance web design consultant.
In my spare time I work on my boat, listen to pod casts, read, meditate, cook, exercise, and think. My favorite thing in the world is probably having a picnic with my 4 year old daughter (who doesn't live with me).
I'm a really big fan of Alan Watts and am in the process of untangling my western consciousness through study and meditation. One of my favorite quotes by Alan Watts is "Enough is as good as a feast." I try to live this belief.
Interests
Mountain biking, swimming, philosophy (BIG fan of Alan Watts), meditation, macroeconomics, sailing, religion, spirituality, yoga, mechanical projects, and entrepreneurship.
Also, I should mention I'm a California medical marijuana card holder. Message me if you have questions about that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Led Zeppelin (BBC sessions is my favorite), The Doors, Avette Brothers, Waylon Jennings, Lumineers, Jerry Garcia & David Grisman sessions
Movies: Don't watch movies much anymore, but I liked Indian Jones and Daniel Craig's James Bond.
I think The Dark Knight is a fascinating movie to watch through a lens where Batman is the antagonist and Joker is the protagonist. Batman fights for control and the Joker fights for honesty.
Books: Basic Economics, Old Man and the Sea, Ecclesiastes, trying to get through The Phenomenon of Man (it's hard),
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Pulled a very angry 6ft shark out of the water with my hands.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live on a 35 ft sailboat so amenities are somewhat limited. Think luxury camping on the water. The boat will sleep 5-6 people, but I'd like to limit guests to 2 people max. The boat is in a well kept maria so there's running fresh water, a heated pool, a bathroom with showers, and local shopping (deli, liquor store, restaurants, etc). The marina is biking distance from downtown San Diego as well.
If you want to kick in for food we can share mine. I eat mostly simple organic foods. Think egg-toast, oatmeal/mueslix, whole grain pasta dishes cooked with coconut oil, olive oil, and/or butter, green salads with nuts & dried fruit, and a fruit hammock. I generally only keep water aboard to drink.
For cooking there's only a two-burner stove, a two small pots, and a 12" cast iron skillet. The boat is equipped with an ice box for a small amount of perishables but no freezer.
