To learn Swedish
Phil and I like to think we're fairly normal, friendly, respectful people. We enjoy a chat over a cup of tea and hearing traveller's stories. We like to be kind to the environment and help others. We have a silly sense of humour.
We're working on it. We thought we had it a couple of years ago, but now we're re-evaluating.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We host in Sydney and we surf around the world!
We have met people with whom we made immediate friends; people who talked all the time and followed us around the house; and we met some people who hardly talked at all kept to themselves. Each to their own!

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: When I, Jess, first joined couchsurfing, I did an experiment: - I let just about anyone stay with me, to get to know people who aren't so similar to me. I found it a bit interesting and educating... but I really learned that you need to pick people who you think you would definitely get along with. You can get to know people who aren't so similar to you by other means than having them live with you.
Learn: If you know Swedish, I'd love to practice with you!
Share: I got talking to a random man on the train in Germany once and after 15 minutes he gave me DM100 to enjoy the rest of my travels. Strange but lovely!
