About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm going to see new places, new faces, have new experiences and connections.

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty mellow person, they say I am loveable, enjoy conversation and new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I am learning a lot about life and thinking more about it all the time. It seems like nothing is static, everything is changing, in life and mind.
I have found a kind of peace of mind from learning about my brain and creating a ballance. Of both stillness and positivity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan on travelling and meeting good folks on my travels and getting to see a little bit of what they do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lived in a communial house (Henry House!) and met many couchsurfers coming into Halifax to visit.

Interests

I love riding bikes, I am a painter/artist. I love hanging out with friends and making connections, going camping and feeling relaxed, talking about the mind, reading and going swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love CBC radio. I am reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance now. I like movies that have a change in perspective involved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first thing that came to mind was climbing this mountain out in the rockies by Lake Louise. I was with a few fellow travellers for a bit but they went a different way and I continued to hike alone.
The altitude was getting higher and as I was at the foot of one of the mountians there started to be snow covering the trail from an avalanche that had happened earlier. I was able to find the trail somewhat and continued on with cold snow on my jeans up to my theighs. I had lost the trail but I knew it went up and over the mountian, but I wasnt sure which mountian it went over. Well, the most significant part of this story was me sitting at a rock at the bottom of the mountain, looking at my ripped up soggy map, doing the calculations of how far I had gone and how much I had left to go. Turning back where I knew the terrain and going forward where the path was unknown would have been the same number of Kilometeres. I knew I couldnt stay there so the only way to go was up and into the unknown. That was a very significant philosophical moment for me and it still sticks with me today.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an artist, I also sew, and I would be able to share any knowledge I have with you. I am interested in mental health and how it relates to physical wellbeing and I have a bit of information just from personal experience I could share.
