Short story:
True happiness is an activity of doing what is specific for us humans - rationally, freely and intentionally choose good.

Long story:
I agree with Aristotle who examined what is true happiness for us humans. He found out that "good" is the end at which all our activities ultimately aim. Then, highest good (which brings true happiness) must be linked with "most perfect activity" that we can perform. So he examined what is the most perfect activity by looking in the nature, where everything has an objective. For example we have a cup. The cup will be "happy" when it will do the activity that best suits to it - is specific for cups (hold coffee to be drinked), if not (e.g. it will broke down), not even it will not be happy, but it wont be a cup anymore. Therefore true happiness is an activity of doing what are we best at (or what is specific for us), and that´s using our brain to freely and intentionally choose for good, which distinguishes us from other animals. (Aristotle defines the supreme good as an activity of the rational soul in accordance with virtue.)
