About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my place in the world

ABOUT ME

I am a talkative, sociable and have a lot of energy. I love eating out and going to historical places. I also enjoy reading for pleasure and listening to almost all kinds of music. I started travelling abroad not so long ago and I love it. I am determined to know as many countries as I possibly can.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I can sum up my personal philosophy in two phrases which today are a bit of a cliché but anyway they have a good meaning. The first is "love yourself and live your life", which is important to me because it reminds me that I always have to trust in myself and not tear myself down, and it also points to the fact that I should find my own way and invent myself, not live someone else's life. The other phrase is "live, love, laugh", because it sums up a bit of the previous phrase, as well as it adds not only love to oneself but also love to others. Finally it adds "laugh" which in my opinion is one of the most important things in life in order to be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Taking people to walk through Buenos Aires, telling them about the city from a historical perspective if that's what they'd like, and about my life here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no couchsurging experience yet but I have travelled and met a bunch of interesting people, discovering that I love sharing my interests and experiences with foreign people, which I intend to continue doing throguh Couchsurfing.

Interests

I am interested in history (Argentinean, Latin American and also European) and in literature. I love reading fiction and non-fiction, I can spend hours talking about books. I also love art and I really enjoy going to museums and galleries. One of the best things I like doing is going for a coffee downtown, or eating out in small restaurants. I love drinking red wine and eating asado (bife de chorizo is my favourite cut), as well as other dishes such as fish and last but not least, pasta.

Music, Movies, and Books

About movies, I enjoy most of them but avoid watching horror movies because it's more suffering than enjoying! I love watching old movies with my boyfriend, or movies that we have seen a lot of times but we still love.
Regarding books, as a history student I spent most of my time out of work reading non fictional books, which I really love. But I also find time to read Argentinean literature such as Borges or Sábato, my two favourites. I also love Hemingway and I particularly enjoy reading philosophy books like Hegel's and Schopenhauer's.
I like all kinds of music, particularly Argentinian rock from the 60's and 70's, and international music from the 80's. I must also confess that I love pop music form the 90's because it reminds me of my childhood, so you cannot be surprised if you find me listening to Spice Girls, Nsync, Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera!
