To live a beautiful life in Bristol
I love to sing, dance, strum my Ukulele and ride my bike. I've made a few lovespoons out of oak and cherry. I used to work in the woodfuel industry and am interested to discover how we can develop communities self sufficient in wood fuel.
over the winter of 2012/13 I spent 4 months traveling around Mexico (big and beautiful) and Costa Rica (small and beautiful)... ah swimming in the Pacific and in a hot river pool....mmmmmm
In September 2011 I successfully completed the Great River Race. 21 miles up the Thames in under 3 hrs in a Celtic Longboat - Hurrah...!
I yearn to travel round Europe in a VW van - this is an looooong term dream..
I'm currently living in Bristol looking for new and interesting voluntary work.
be considerate to your fellow beings....I'm alright...you're alright... keep trying and keep searching. Face my fears. Live in the moment. Listen to my body.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
All positive experiences hosting and being hosted!! showing the surfers i have met around my part of the world has been a real pleasure - i have discovered that led zepalin wrote "Bron yr aur stomp" in a cottage they lived in just down the road from where I was living in Machynlleth
Great to meet interesting csers and to welcome them to wherever I may be living. I enjoy the randomness of meeting new people and exchanging views and experiences. Communication is always interesting and thus far I have been nourished and learnt much from my experiences
energy and society...people, history, buildings... the Dyfi estuary, kites, reading contemporary fiction. VW vans. The mad shapes of sand on the shore between the tides. seagulls. Fire. Qi gong - I recently went on a 10 day camp near Dartmoor - AMAZING.
I carve functional wooden eating and cooking spoons
Music, Movies, and Books
The Blues Brothers and One flew over the cuckoos nest. Recently I enjoyed "the lunchbox"
almost any music from Gospel to rock n roll via Ska...oh and Ween - drifter in the dark..check it out...oh and the spookymen's chorale.... Johnny Cash
The Catcher in the Rye. I just discovered a couple of Tom Robbins' books - highly entertaining.
