Overview
About Me
23 year old philosophy and environmental science graduate working in the arts - hoping to meet and exchange with folks from around the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely believe in the sharing economy and paying it forward - hopefully by hosting myself in the future, and by contributing something with my stay. I know how important it is to learn from people, and I am hoping to share experiences and to learn about world culture and politics, especially related to womens empowerment.
Interests
I like to keep active, and have led hiking and backpacking trips for teens in California, New Hampshire, and Scotland. I have studied drumming in the USA and Ghana, and have always been passionate about the arts (I grew up volunteering in theaters in Minneapolis).

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not really a movie person, but I am a voracious reader. Some favorites off the top of my head: East of Eden - Steinbeck, Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver, The Brothers Karamazov - Dostoevsky, The Good Earth - Pearl S. Buck. I like folk music, but am flexible - anything else with a cool rhythm!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied with the Kumasi culture center's traditional drum and dance crew in Ghana while researching Kete drumming, led 20 day teen backpacking trips in Scotland, and one time I ate an entire raw onion during a food eating contest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer conversation, cooking, music, and good vibes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
As i said above, I am eager to exchange - I can cook you a nice meal, play music, clean (I am a master kitchen cleaner), etc. I am definitely a people person but also respect alone time, and am very communicative!
