About Me

I'm passionate about learning as well as teaching.. I want to see what's out there..

I'm pretty laid back. I get along with mostly everyone, which is why I know a lot of people in the area. I love music. I write poetry. I read a lot.

I have 3 younger siblings who are wonderful and understanding. My parents are great people.

I'm very into history, activism and world understanding.

I like going to local band shows, clubs to dance, hole in the wall bars to relax, having barbecues, going to the river, the mountains (especially Yosemite, where I have lived and worked before), cafes, museums, road trips, or just staying home.. depending on the day of the week, the weather, the phase of the moon, how adventurous I'm feeling, etc.. :) Anything can happen.

I enjoy simple things in life.. like watching a sunset, or even watching a sunrise. Any lazy person can watch a sunset, but to get up early to catch a sunrise is amazing too. I love looking at the moon and stars at night, especially out in places with no light pollution, like the mountains.

I like enjoying life. Some people work and work for nothing, or to gain material things, but don't have free time to enjoy them. I'm a free-spirited, yet responsible person. I believe in living life to the fullest because you never know when something could happen to you. Nothing can change how you lived your life and you can't go back and do what you didn't do, and you can't go places you MEANT to go to SOMEDAY. That's my philosophy.

Anyhow.. if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, I'm pretty much an open book, and at this stage in my life, I don't hide things.

I'm not scared of nature, wildlife, people, or learning new things. I'll go hunt for firewood without hesitation and alone when we're out fishing.. I know how to do some things on my car..

I'll offer help if ever I see someone that I can help out. I ask for directions. You'd be surprised how many people have so much pride that they'd rather be lost for hours than stop and ask someone. I don't look down on people.. I accept responsibility for my actions, and I don't complain or make excuses or try to blame others or my past.

I'm a really nice person. I help people any way I possibly can, unless it's not possible. I don't like talking to tweakers, though. Sorry. I'm not on that same level, and it really irritates me when people, especially those who have children, are all strung out and don't take care of the people who they are responsible for, including themselves. It's a huge lack of respect for everyone, and society. I understand you have an addiction, and you might be good with some help, but I can't fix you, nor will I try to.

I believe in being the best person I can be. I'd rather be alone than in bad company. I don't believe in causing or feeding into problems, nor in talking rudely about other people behind their backs. I usually tolerate it, maybe listen, but I don't comment or add anything. Avoiding it completely proves to be kind of difficult because people feel like getting things off their chest, and part of being a friend is to listen. I let people vent, but I don't believe in judging other people by what others say about them, so in turn, I'm just a good listener, I suppose. I won't hate your enemies just because you do. I don't hate people I know, so I'm much less likely to loathe strangers.

I believe in karma, and I also believe in doing at least one good deed everyday to build up good karma, or at least to feel good about yourself because you did something nice for someone, even if they don't even know you did it. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, literally. :) Anything good can intoxicate my ears anytime it wants.

I watch everything, movie-wise.

I read A LOT. About 10 books a week or so. Mostly on world affairs, teaching, revolutionaries, and inspiring people who have lived great lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think Yosemite National Park never ceases to amaze me. I lived out there, and it's so beautiful it made me cry sometimes. There were days where at certain hours and in certain light it just looked like heaven and I felt at peace. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always up for good conversation. I don't really know what I can teach, but I'm up to talking to people about what I like to do. I can teach Spanish, or English.
