About Me
ABOUT ME
I recently came off the Appalachian Trail where I hiked 400+ miles from Georgia to Tennessee. I'm preparing to spend the next month traveling along the east coast toward New York with stops in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and Columbus, Ohio, culminating in Chaos Fest in Bloomington, Indiana. I'll be looking for places to stay in all those cities and likely others as well. I'm fairly quiet and am generally very laid back, but if you like to party that's no problem for me. I'm interested in philosophy and languages, as well as politics and economics, though I don't have much experience discussing them. I like to read a lot, so don't be surprised if you see me carrying a sack of books around.
PHILOSOPHY
In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself. -Jiddu Krishnamurti

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy mostly old movies by directors like David Lynch, Akira Kurosawa, and Ingmar Bergman, as well as retro sci-fi and horror films. I'm interested in a variety of music although my favorite is punk/hardcore. Joy Division, Captain Beefheart, John Frusciante, the Meat Puppets, the Germs, Black Flag, and Saccharine Trust to name a few. Reading is where I spend most of my time, I read fiction but also history, politics, philosophy, you name it.
