Hey Guys!

My name is Mat, I'm 32 and from Melbourne, Australia. Me and my partner Sam (26 and from London, UK) are a same-sex couple, who are major travel enthusiasts and currently on a 2-year long trip travelling the globe.

We are both easy-going and love to maintain active and healthy lifestyles. Our hobbies include hiking, tennis, spending time at the beach and of course, travelling! We also both love to cook and are planning to start-up a food truck and catering company when we eventually return home.

Before we decided to take the plunge and quit our jobs in order to pursue a life on the road, I was a Military Officer in Australian Air Force. and Sam was a Business Development Manger in the water conservation industry. Whilst both of us were content with our jobs and lives back home, we felt there was more to life than being confined to full-time work.

Aside from gaining amazing experiences and creating lifelong memories, our current lifestyle has allowed us to immerse ourselves in a variety of cultures and to meet people from all walks of life. We believe Couchsurfing provides us with an even greater opportunity to achieve this.
