ABOUT ME

Artist first and a reporter close second. I've recently made the decision to finally go travel because I just know that there is so much to experience in life and I would be doing myself a disservice to not try to take in as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

So long as you aren't hurting anyone or anything you should be able to do whatever you want in life.

I am in love with learning.

It's important to get out of your comfort zone if you are going to grow as a person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am down to host people if they ever come to Baltimore, but I think we only get like 10 requests a week as a city. That said, I hope that by traveling I can make new friends and entice them to come visit my home town that I love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed ever since I was a teenager but I never had to use this website. I use to hop freight trains, hitchhike and ride my bicycle across different U.S. states. I've also done a bit of touring as a musician which was a wonderful experience.

I always let people who travel crash at my house so long as I am not traveling myself. I have just never really needed the website until I made it over here to Europe. Even then, I have been staying with people who are on this site, but have met them through friends of friends of friends.

Music: If I had to narrow it all down to only a few genres it would be bluegrass, blues-metal and classical.

Books: Typically whatever I am reading at the time but some books that really stay with me are: The Call Of The Wild, Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, The Things They Carried, Grendel, The Giver, Extremely Loud Incredibly Close

Hopped freight trains, lived in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and ridden my bicycle far and wide. I've climbed a mountain or two and gone on several day kayak adventures down rivers. When I was younger I was a bicycle messenger.

My next big project will be to build a tiny home with my own two hands.
