Hi! I'm Matt!

I'm 28, I am originally from the U.S., and I have spent the past few years traveling the world, accumulating a whole spectrum of experience, knowledge (especially of myself) and appreciation for life. For diversity. For friendship.

I am a freelance programmer, but I have done everything from owning my own business in the U.S. (selling maple syrup treats), and volunteering with orphans in Peru, to teaching English to kids in China.

I love psychology and self-analysis in general, and have spent the past few years doing a lot of self-reflection and self-work. I like figuring out who I am, figuring out what the meaning of life is to me, and I'm on a constant pursuit to discover myself better. To expand my understanding of why I'm here. Of how I can best live my life in order to find purpose, contentment, substance.

I also love building meaningful connections with people who are on an equal path of self-discovery. With people who have a genuine appreciation for life, for kindness, for compassion, for honesty. With people who love to ask questions, to dream, to imagine, to push the boundaries of what they know, to learn. With people who are simply awesome.

One of my largest passions is good foods and desserts! I have a food allergy to eggs so when I find good food I can eat I become one of the happiest guys around!

Also I love animals a lot! I have 4 dogs at home and missing them very much during my travels. If you have animals at home I am likely to fall in love with them!

I am new to couchsurfing, but I am hoping for this to be a new opportunity to meet amazing people, from whom I can learn so much more. With whom I can share about myself, about my travels, my experiences, my lessons, my mistakes. And equally listen to your life story, to all that makes you you, and allow for an awesome connection to come forward.
