About Me

Departed for a long and articulated journey about thirty-three years ago, from which i have not yet returned, but about which I’m constantly sending news to keep me updated on the progress.
I lived. Intensely. Sometimes a lot less, but always trying to be aware in doing so. I struggled. I suffered. I won and I lost. I have been privileged to see many places around the world and I lived in New York City.
I learned to listen to Life. I met Her in the eyes of many people, savoring it through their gestures. I collected people’s dreams, fears and emotions, and I mixed them with everything I was. I took risks. I experienced. I enjoyed eagerly, but still without being satiated. I cried. I laughed. I played at being different and I realized that even that was me.
I made new friends and I lost them. I loved. I hated. I chose to ignore many things and I grieved for those I wouldn’t have had, to then admit that it was useless.
I learned.
I rediscovered a deep Love for my Country and confirmed the one for Humanity. I realized that I had worked so hard to find my way, and instead it was there waiting for me since ever, and at last I was just seeing it.
So I stopped. I took a deep breath. I chose the ideas I wanted to believe in, and pursue.
I fully sensed the meaning of the word “happy” ... and I do my best every day to remind me that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have tried repeatedly, but I don’t recognize myself in our modern society (not only Italian). Strongly doubtful, if not averse, about the economic system, inclined to observation and reasoning since childhood, my belief is that human beings have an incredible potential unexpressed, held back by a vicious cycle of imbalance we created. So, after two specific and intense experiences in Brazil and Africa, I decided to start a long term journey around the World (no end established) to really meet Others. I have chosen to base my journey on three fundamental principles: poverty, sharing and spirituality, that will allow me to know and evolve myself deeper and deeper: the real starting point, according to me, for any constructive contribution to the Community.

Interests

Everything! Can you believe it?
I'm one of those people who live pushed by their insatiable curiosity. I tried plenty of sports and hobbies in my life and changed as many jobs, only in response to my deep desire to experiment and discover. In a way we can say I never grew up, since this is the attitude of children, and I actually encourage people to never lose contact with their inner child, or in case, recover it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Considering my answer in the previous box, i would say that this is a topic about which we could have a nice, and depending on your preference, short or long conversation: they are so many!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This incredible long term journey around the World with no money and a lot of sharing: let's begin the adventure! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I truly love conversations. This means that I'll be very pleased to talk about my Country (Italy) or any other powerful or weird experience I had abroad, or any other topic.
Obviously I can cook a delicious Italian meal for you and share the recipe, so you can replicate it by yourself in future for your friends or family. Or I can teach you some Italian if you like.
And if you are planning to go to Italy, one day, I could suggest you beautiful places to visit or nice people to meet, especially in Rome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, England, Ethiopia, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Tunisia
