My name is Matty, and I'm a 21-year-old student from Manchester, England. I'm currently studying Geography at the University of Cambridge. I like to think I'm a friendly, laid-back, open-minded person, and I love meeting new people and trying new things. It sounds cheesy, but I always try to be as kind, generous and understanding with people as I can. I love to read and learn about pretty much anything; at the moment I'm interested in art history! I really enjoy playing and watching sport, particularly tennis. I'm also a big Manchester United fan! I like to cook and bake when I have spare time at home. I love pets, or any sort of animals really... I have three cats myself.

I love meeting new people and trying new things, but have never couch surfed before. I'm excited to experience it! In many of the places I have travelled I have been unable to escape the feeling of being a tourist. From what I've heard, couch surfing seems like a really different and interesting experience. Hopefully it will be a great way to make friends straight away and get to know a city/place better (with the help of hosts of course!). Also, I am a student. I love to travel but I'm not rich, so couch surfing could be a great way to see the world on a low budget!

I can teach you how to make a lovely cake. I make a mean Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle! Also, if you are interested in sport, I might be able to teach you a thing or two about tennis! When I was younger I also used to perform magic professionally, so I could share some magic with you (and teach you the secrets if you really want)!

I'm interested to learn just about anything! I'm curious about most things, and I love hearing stories or about people's experiences whilst travelling. I would love to learn a different language or an instrument. I also love playing games, particularly card games!
