About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Current mission? Hmmm.... Working on starting a real estate empire in the United States. We'll see how this goes.

ABOUT ME

Oh. How do you begin? How does one describe themselves? Fun-loving. Care-free. Apparently I'm limiting myself to hyphenated descriptors. :P I like to have a good time, laughing, joking and just enjoying life. Its too short to do otherwise. I miss my friends and family in the US but good times with new friends off-sets any melancholy.

PHILOSOPHY

Ancora Imparo. I discovered this old Latin saying in an estate in Ireland. It means "I am still learning." It keeps me grounded. It keeps me humble. Life is worth living every moment but remember that life is WAY bigger than you can ever imagine it to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new around here so I'm not exactly sure how all I can participate. If you have any ideas, let me know. I'm open to some guidance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

NONE!! Not that I haven't slept on a few couches in my day, I've just never organized it through this snazzy website.

Interests

Anything. People, I suppose. I don't travel for the places. I travel for the people. I love meeting new people. I've done a lot of things in my life and I am always looking to add to the list. Specifically, I suppose I enjoy history, art, books, cars, sports. WOW! A random list.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gladiator is my ALL-TIME favorite. LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie. Otherwise I like The Reader, Transformers, Driven. Like all of my other lists, this one would appear to be slightly random. I used to be more into music than I am today but I still love to read. Just picked up The Reluctant Fundamentalist to add to 1491 which I have been working on for a year, off and on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sat at the caldera on Santorini (Thira). This has to be one of the amazing places I've ever seen. I just sat there for days. St. Patrick's Day in Dublin, Ireland. 'Nuff said.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, doesn't my "personal philosophy"fit beautifully with this section. I have lots of tips and tricks for traveling but I never cease to F-up the whole process on every single occasion. Some tips - double-check your dates. One time in Greece I was finishing off a bottle of wine when I realized my plane leaves in two days but I'm on my last night hotel-wise. Oooops. NEVER book the non-refundable rate at a hotel. Its not worth the chance. Life throws curve-balls ALL the time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Sri Lanka

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Arab Emirates, United States
