Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save the planet...um...a little more realistic, to live creatively, harmoniously, and inspire others
ABOUT ME
My friends would likely say that I have a creative, friendly, and slightly wacky personality. What I would also add that I am curious, and a little like Marsupilami.
PHILOSOPHY
Nature, not quite a philosophy, but seriously, Nature is the most important thing to me. Hmm, if I recall correctly, I think Ecosophy might be the right word.
Oh yeah, and bikes, if there was a bike philosophy, I would be living it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience in Porto, Portugal was amazing. Met two awesome friends.
Interests
I love the outdoors (kayaking, hiking, biking, climbing), but also love exploring cultural sites. At home I spend my free time exploring my own city, reading, listening to local bands (usually reggae, ska, folk), and racing around on my unusual bike creation. I also get my ecological fix through volunteering at a local environmental organization.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back-country hiking in Zion National park, OMG, WOW!
Hitch-hiking around the Canadian Maritimes, and near the end, sitting on a rock in a small town in Gaspe, watching an absolutely incredible sunset.
Watching a grey whale swim underneath our small boat, followed by an awesome soak in some hotsprings, and later watching a humpback whale breach, with one of my best friends.
Oh yeah, and seeing a massive grey wolf crossing the road 50 meters away from me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Wow, there are lots of things I could share.
Presently teaching English part time, so could teach that.
My more professional experience and academic background is in Resource Management and Planning, so I have lots of knowledge to share in that field.
I am also artistic and love creating things with my hands, repairing things, growing things, and generally tinkering!
I want to learn more about design, permaculture, and plants!!!
