About Me

I am currently finishing my BA in sociology at Northern Illinois University and am hoping to get involved with the CS community. I have been fortunate enough to have had a brief introduction to travel, visiting Tegucigalpa, Honduras twice and Nairobi, Kenya once. This coming summer I am going to Musoma, Tanzania for a month for a study abroad trip. I will be doing research on rehabilitative programs for street children in Sub-Saharan Africa. After graduation I am hoping to continue to travel, possibly teaching for an ESL program abroad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got the travel bug! I know that traveling is a privilege and should be treated as such. I enjoy meeting new people in foreign lands and like experiencing new cultures in an authentic experience.

Interests

I love being outside and active. I primarily get around on my bike or public transit and spend a lot of time running, reading, or studying. My hobbies include photography, slacklining, running, biking, and flying.
