ABOUT ME

My name is Matt and I am a freelance journalist and videographer based out of Baltimore.

I am about as laid back as you can get while still being productive. I love sitting on porches or balconies for drinks and good conversation. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie but I also appreciate the calm and quiet elements in life.

The main reason I chose my career path was because I wanted to travel and meet new people. I want to make friends when I visit a different city and experience its different cultures. It's what makes me happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My house is too crowded to host anyone where I live. However, I have a network of great people that would be able to help people out when they need a place to stay.

Sometimes I have opportunities to work on productions in other towns, but I still don't make enough to be able to afford a hotel. I am hoping that this site will help me in a logistical sense, as well as afford me the opportunity to meet kind, fun and interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done plenty of couch surfing in my day, but never actually through this website.

Interests

Nature in all its forms, live music (mostly smaller venue/local kind of stuff), producing stories for NPR, I want to learn arabic, cycling, kayaking, rock climbing, videography, writing, reading.
