ABOUT ME

I'm from San Francisco, which has shaped my cultural and culinary tastes in many ways and, thanks to that fine city, I now like to be lazy in parks. For a long time I rode vintage motorcycles, but now spent my time on the violin which is much more dangerous. I love poetry, but not in that fifteen-year-old girl way. Gimme Simic and Rita Dove and Seamus Heaney. Everyone with arms and legs loves cooking, travel, and riding bikes. WELL ME, TOO. My mom is Hawaiian so I grew up loving spam sushi, I adore orchre-colored buildings, Russian and French New Wave films, and plants that sound like dry pasta when you touch them. I like things that are hard to find and are found without trying.

I love doing skilled trade! My skills are obscure but I'm very happy to share them. I'm an excellent bartender (mixologist for the nose-pinchers) and I can also show you how to ride a motorcycle, drive a manual car, play the violin, and how to edit your poetry or fiction. I'd like to learn basic spanish and how to teach yoga.
