About Me

To give my son a good example on how to live an honest, meaningful and happy life.

There are three things that give my life purpose: having learning experiences; spending time with and taking care of the people that I love; and helping change destructive patterns in society. I've had an awesome life so far, I've traveled a lot (mostly in Mexico and recently in Europe), I've learned a lot (not much in school, though) and I've met amazing people from all over the world. But now with my son, my whole worldview has changed. Now there are this huge eyes in this little body looking at everything I do, and now I have to be more responsible with the life I lead. And I'm really thankful with him and his mother for that, they've helped me realize that there's more to life than just living for myself.

We shouldn't ask why should we help someone, but rather why not. If everyone around us shared and practiced this idea, this world would be ten times more awesome than it is. Practicing and sharing this idea gives my life meaning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can host people from time to time, as long as they don't mind sharing apartment with a small baby that loves to sing.

So far my only experiences have been in Athens and Aarhus, but they were really cool. They were amazing and really opened my eyes to the possibility of sharing your place and sharing who you are with couchsurfing, as well as meeting cool and interesting people from all over the world.

Sustainable lifestyles, wind energy, innovation systems, sustainable economic models, politics and networking. I also enjoy talking about movies, books, sports (especially football, basketball, american football, baseball, although it's been some time since I played any of them)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw my son's face when he fell asleep in my arms just after he was born.
I've seen people's faces filled with satisfaction when they understand something that was hard to understand.
An amazing thing I did was save a young wild fox from drowning when I was in Greece.

Teach, Learn, Share

It's hard to say what I could teach to others. Back in Mexico I was a teacher of Economics and Sustainable Development, so I guess I could share some things about those topics. I also have some knowledge of innovation systems, wind turbine markets, history of Mexico.
