I come from a small town in Ontario, Canada. I set out in November 2017 to go out and discover the world. My travels began with an unscheduled stop in Zhengzhou, China where nobody spoke English. By befriending a stranger we teamed up to navigate our way through the situation and the culture shock. After a long stretch I finally made it to Australia where I spent 3 months backpacking my way up the east coast, looking for adventure with friends by hiking and developing an addiction to meat pies and good coffee. I then stopped to work in Auckland, New Zealand for 2 months while trying to brainstorm ways to travel in a more meaningful way. I am now hitchhiking and woofing around New Zealand as a way to try and meet more locals, gain more cultural experience and make an impact on the places I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to make some new friends along the way on this journey. Maybe some locals who would be willing to show me around and go see some sights. I am open minded to all new experiences

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had my first climbing adventure in the canadian rockies in Jasper, Alberta. It was a rocky mountain about the size of 3000m standing. It took 2 days out and back and heaps of determination, but I managed to summit the highest mountain I had ever been on! More recently I have been backpacking and hiking the east coast of Australia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be willing to cook you a meal, I make great pizza and pasta dishes. I don't travel with an instrument but if you can put a guitar in my hands I am quite a good campfire musician.
