About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be happy and get stuff done.
ABOUT ME
I was working on my PhD in medicine of the University of Helsinki, but decided to quit, focus on starting my own company, and study software engineering instead.
I Like to meet new people, and like to host, but unfortunately I moved to a new place which is being renovated so hosting is a bit tricky, yet not impossible.
I enjoy good vegetarian food, good wine, good conversation, and good company.
I love to be active and creative, enjoying life and taking it easy. Bringing happiness to others is very important to me.
PHILOSOPHY
Be a good person and try to leave the world a little better than it was when you came into it.
One of my favorite quotes out of "The Great Dictator":
"
Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.
Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had a 2 year backpacking trip around the world, and was doing spontaneous couchsurfing before it was cool ;)
I realized the best part of traveling for me is meeting other travelers and people from different cultures, so why not do it while hosting?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted my first couch surfer in April 2013, and since then I have hosted and met many more people, and it's been almost always a positive experience.
!Attention!
Lately I've been getting a lot of copy-paste messages from people who think CS is about saving them money.
I'm on CS to meet and connect with great people, not to save you 50 euros.
If you write me a request, please read my profile carefully, include the words "chocolate-chip cookie" in the first line of your request, and explain to me why do you think hosting you will be a positive experience for both of us, otherwise your request will be denied.
I'm sad I have to play these silly games, but that's life.
Cheers!
