About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to make the world a better place!

ABOUT ME

I'm 37, chill, easy going and I love my city and showing people my favorite places here. I especially love the outdoors, riding bikes, random adventures, meeting new people and making new friends!

PHILOSOPHY

To keep my heart and eyes open to new experiences.

To look back and feel I've lived life with as few regrets and as much joy as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a great way to see my city in a new way - through the eyes of new friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had one couchsurfer but it's been absolutely wonderful. I'm looking forward to sharing my space, showing off my city and and meeting new folks from around the world!

I love reading, biking, eating, cooking and good conversation!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music. Lately, I've been really enjoying Balkan Jazz, folk and blues a lot. Also music from the 70s.

I read a lot of different kinds of books too. Lately I've been enjoying Buddhist philosophy, technical books and various kinds of fiction.

As for movies I really love Wes Anderson, Terry Gilliam and the Coen Brothers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Invented a new programming language and published a book about it. It's pretty geeky, but I'm very happy to have had this experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a professor for around 17 years. My favorite thing about teaching is how much I learn from my students - they always bring a new perspective and ask questions I never would have thought to ask myself!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, France, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Netherlands, United States
