About Me

Hello everyone !

I'm a 30 yr old French guy who likes to travel and meet new people. Not so original for the Couchsurfing community I guess^^
Maybe a more relevant information about me is that I'm a typical French : introvert in some situations, but very talkative and easy-going when I feel comfortable with people.
I don't like small talk, so we might end up in some philosophical debates, but usually people say about me that I have a good sense of humor, so don't worry : these could be both deep and fun :)
I'm also always energized by the feel of change provided by travelling, like everyone else I guess.
However, I search for a travelling lifestyle which allows me to keep kind of the "good routines" I enjoy the most when at home.
That means that I love to stay in one place during enough time to experience the city, as if I was living there (but with no work constraint^^).
When I travel alone I won't particularly rush on every place or museum that touristic guides tell you as "mandatory to see before leaving", because I usually prefer to share this with someone.
Instead I prefer hang out with my camera all day long, discovering the city through a different eye, and when I'm bold enough, by connecting with local people.
I now bring with me even my climbing shoes, because it is my second addiction right now !
Biking is also the best way of discovering one city in my opinion, and it is not rare that I rent a bike to do some urban exploration, since it is more difficult to bring my race bike than my camera/climbing shoes^^

*disclaimer* : on a more practical level, I'm allergic to cats so whether I'm hosting you or being hosted at your place, please let me know (if it isn't in your bio) if you plan to bring it with you/have any at home.
Also, I only eat/cook both gluten and dairy free food for auto-immune condition.
But I'm not so bad at cooking, guaranteed !
Also, for people who may host me, I'm fully vaccinated :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet local people, with different life courses than mine. I also like passionate people, who are willing to make others discover their universe. If for example my host could tell me about architecture of his/her city during hours, I would never get bored ! It is one thing that I appreciate the most to be talked about when travelling, but in my opinion talking directly with local people, emotionally attached to the city, is always 100 times better than learn from a book.
Cooking is also a thing that I like to share with my hosts !
And in the other hand, I can talk with you during quite a long time about photography if you're interested into it :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I went on a Flixbus from Toulon to Bordeaux.
At the first toll area where the bus stopped by for a toilet pause, the driver forgot me on the road.
I saw the bus going away, in the middle of the night, with all my stuff in it (camera/tripod, computer, hard drive, apartment keys, passport, ID, even my phone !)...

But !
What is the most incredible in that story is that I caught up with the bus !!
Not running, obviously^^
But thanks to the immense kindness of the very first car driver I waved at the toll area :)
