Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I'm planning on making my way up the West Coast of America from LA to Vancouver and would like to meet some cool local people along the way. I've never done it before, but my well-travelled sister suggested I should do it instead of backpackers.

No idea how I'm getting from LA to Vancouver yet, but probably a combination of ridesharing, buses, rentals, vehicle relocation etc.
