ABOUT ME

I think they would say that I'm pretty outgoing and love talking to people. Some of my favorite moments in my life have been just sitting with great people and having great conversation about all topics. I like to think that I'm a pretty open-minded guy and I get along with just about anybody. I appreciate sports and entertainment as well as the arts, particularly music. Some of my favorite artists are singer songwriters such as Noah Gundersen, Ben Howard, and James Taylor.

Interests

I love spending time outdoors, hiking is a great way to spend any day. I also love playing sports, as well as just spending time with my friends, drinking coffee or going for a walk. I love trying new foods, and finding the best place to eat, especially in a new area. Some of my favorite foods come from different food trucks and I will always argue that food from food trucks is better, though you could probably chalk it all up to confirmation bias. At any rate, I love finding local foods and restaurants that offer something unique. I think you can really get a feel for a city based on what kinds of food it has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One moment that left me awestruck was seeing the play "Tribes" in New York this year. It was an off broadway play that I had heard good things about, but actually seeing it was an incredible experience. The playwright had put so much of herself into it, and you couldn't help but realize it. The play was absolutely beautiful, but was very challenging, asking difficult questions that I'm still not sure I could answer. I really appreciate theater and how shows can have that effect.

Another moment that left me awestruck is one that I have experienced several times. Almost every year I go to a summer camp with some of the greatest people I have ever met, and each time is an even greater experience than the last. It is a week in which you discover a real community with both close friends and complete strangers, and you come away from it completely grateful for the experience.
