Hey there, I’m Maxx. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and have spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I've been in Sydney the last 2.5 years working with my brother and earning my Masters degree.

I'm a pretty active guy - I like to hike, camp, backpack, lift weights, practice yoga, etc. When I'm not out and about, you might find me reading, cooking, or teaching myself how to play the guitar. My friends tell me that I'm thoughtful, friendly, and responsible. Hopefully you'll think the same =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CouchSurfing because I appreciate the spirit of the site - that people open up their homes and lives to strangers in need, and have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships. I've appreciated the hospitality that I've been shown whilst traveling, and hope to return the favor in the future.

Interests

I grew up hiking and camping, so that's deeply ingrained in my soul. Yoga and meditation are practices that I came to later in life, but have enjoyed cultivating daily practices. Cooking is enjoyable for me when I can take my time, be creative, and share with others.
