I am a student studying Archaeology and Anthropology in London.
Feel free to message me and hopefully I can help you or meet you while your traveling through my area. I enjoy just hanging out with people and exploring anywhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because there's a lot of life in it, travelling this way seems to be a lot more engaged and more fun! It's nice to be shown someone's favourite place in their area, when I do this I look at where I live with new eyes.
Cycling and walking, art, dancing, singing, and travelling occasionally. I also enjoy people teaching me things they know, hearing stories or getting into a big discussion, and mainly collaborating and having good company.
I would love to travel to more archaeological sites around the world! and finally apply the experience to what I have learnt in my degree. I like talking about all subjects and hearing from others. I am interested broadly in ethno-musicology, sound art, archaeoacoustics and experimentation.
Music, Movies, and Books
Not too sure, but here's a few :)
Tolstoi, Dostoevsky, T.S Elliot, George Orwell, Joseph Campbell, Emily Dickinson, Andrei Tarkovsky, Béla Tarr, Ingmar Bergman.
Music, a lot of world music, favourite band I like right at the moment is Dahkabrahka, the band I always like is Cocteau Twins, but really I want to go to see all sorts of music live and have the experience of that, therefore
I like music that makes your bottom shake even if you don't have one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Excavating a Tel site in Israel, then getting to the top of the Golan heights.
Teach, Learn, Share
To meet fellow travelers or students or those who want to share their experiences of their places or those who are passing by.
I can teach a sort of British type of knitting different from the continent and probably less efficient. I can teach english as a foreign language (qualified), I can teach some singing and vocalizations, including exercises to train the voice. Otherwise I will be up for going out and doing things and being taught something new (I used to hate chess and now I really like it).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Traveling: I/We are student(s) that can only afford to see the world on a very small budget but wine, food, and music, and of course a place to stay at our place sometime is what we/I can give ('we' in reference to boyfriend or plus one friend usually when travelling). We will be respectful and courteous, and want to get to know an area and make the most of it. Most often I want to help with anything that needs doing, and start new creative projects with people from a far.
Hosting: I live on the outskirts of London between Sept-June when I can accommodate only 1 guest .
In the summer I am mainly working, excavating or travelling or all of them.
Otherwise I will be back in Kent, Tunbridge Wells where I can host guests 3+ in an outhouse with heating and outside toilet occasionally but not always.
I think is a wonderful natural area where I am from and nice to get back to. For advice on camping in Kent*, I know some great places.
