Interests

I have a thing for poetry and traditional/folk music (of any cultures, currently exploring Celtic, Chinese and Icelandic) and I love attending poetry and music events (not necessarily events, like, small cozy gatherings work too), even though I don't write anything myself - absorbing the atmosphere and pure talent that people have is enough for me.

I have a weak spot when it comes to anything visual - calligraphy, furniture, architecture, interior design, ceramics, arts and crafts, dolls, toys, clothes etc. I'm pretty damn bad at every single one of those things, but I really enjoy just watching other people do it and admiring the results. Or even going to museums and exhibitions - once I'm in a ceramics section, it's extremely difficult to drag me out of there.

I adore my majors (I'm double majoring in International Relations and Psychology) and academia world in general. Sometimes I tend to speak way too much about random studies and research; if I never had to work to earn money, I'd probably spend my life studying stuff and going to conferences and doing research. I will get caught up talking about (insert political/psychological/linguistic/historical/ educational/term here), but I do constantly remind people to shut me up if I go on too much and no, I never take offense in it.

I love sharing information, both passing it on to other people and receiving it! :)
I can tell you a bit about Russia, Vietnam and what being a foreign student in China and the UK feels like.

I can cook decent Russian dishes (my Vietnamese/Chinese dishes for some reason don't come out as good so I prefer not to cook them for people until I really know what I'm doing), and although the kitchen will probably look a bit messy in the beginning (because lots of ingredients are involved and it does take about three hours to make everything) I WILL clean it all up so it looks exactly like it did prior to my arrival. I promise :)
