About Me

My current mission objective is to catch them all (gotta catch them all you know) and defeat the evil team rocket... Naturally

My name is Martijn but you can call me Martin if that is easier for you ;) I'm a Dutch student at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam just trying to find my place in the world. I'm a very agreeable sort of person who can get along with almost anyone. I love traveling, both big exciting cities and breathtaking nature and love culture as well (mostly architecture and art). I also love going out for drinks and music when possible. Last summer I did a backpack sort of trip with a good friend in South America (I have lots of family in Argentina) and I discovered that I need to do more of this now that I'm still young, which is why I joined this site. As for myself I live in a small apartment in Delft with some other students. Delft is a nice university city close to Rotterdam, where my university is located, and the Hague where the Dutch government and international court of justice reside. Amsterdam is also only 60km away.

New to this, no participation as of yet!

Not yet :) Hopefully soon!

I'm interested in city life, other cultures and nature. I also love cycling and play some (very bad) tennis from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most memorable thing that I recall is seeing the fantastic panorama of Manhattan and it's surrounding at dusk from the top of the Rockefeller center (best place to view to city, better than ESB), it was a somewhat chilly completely clear April evening so views were spectacular.
The other three things that where more than remarkable where the Iguacu falls on the border between Argentina and Brazil, the fantastic beauty of the city of Rio de Janeiro and the bustling life and spirit in the city of Buenos Aires which I all visited 5 months ago.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Paraguay, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
